Vishakan Dinesh is my name, AKA – Mr.D. A 28 year old Web/Graphic designer from Sri lanka ( Pearl of the Indian Ocean ). At present working Full time for a leading software development company and a Part time Freelancer. My designing career spans over 6 years of industrial experience on design projects which served various international clients [ View my portfolio ].
WHY?
Why I chose to be a designer?.....I liked the process of giving life to an idea. I just simply love it, its fun. Being a designer allows you to make this world a better looking place, also break down language barriers and be understood by all. How many people do you think get to do the job they love?
, They say "If you find a job you love you dont have to work another day"...and i say its true.
HOW?
I never went to a design school, it was in my blood. My passion for design encouraged me to self-study. With a decent amount of hard work, guidance and determination I was able to make a career out of it. Here I am, a creative Web/Graphic designer, continuously enjoying, learning and improving day by day.
WORK EXPERIENCE
(2005 - 2007)
I started my career as an e-Media Developer, working for an UK based software development and IT services company called InW2. My role was to Design and maintain professional user Interfaces, Promotional media and Flash animations.
(2007 – till date)
After 2 years I joined hSenid, a leading software development company in sri lanka. As a Snr. Web Graphic designer / Lead Product Branding, my role is to design the overall graphics and layouts for Promotional displays, Marketing brochures, Websites, Logos, Flash demos, Advertisements, Printing materials and be in charge of Product Branding.
WHEN I AM NOT DESIGNING
A silent killer, Devil…:P, well i like to fool around with my insane friends, Play a game of soft ball cricket, Pool, Swimming, Watch a lot of movies, Listen to music if i want to stay away from the real world, Annoy Bruno, Roger and Jenny (my dogs), Facebooking, last not least play a bit of poker once in awhile with a crazy bunch of friends whom happens to make my day all the time.
